25 Days 29th October - 22nd November 2005
The classic Buddhist pilgrimage. Centred on the Vajrasana, we circumambulate the ancient Buddhist heartland visiting beautiful and inspiring sites associated with Sakyamuni and the early Sangha. This is a leisurely yet true pilgrimage to places of real significance.
Pilgrimage Leader: Ratnaketu
I offer the pilgrimages as Dana, that is to say, each pilgrim sets his or her own contribution. I have led these pilgrimages several times and, with my team of friendly and competent of Indians, Tibetans and Nepalese, I’m confident of offering a valuable and inspiring service. All profit is given away.
Born in New Zealand in 1958, I joined the Western Buddhist Order in 1979, the year that saw my first visit to India. In 1999, after twenty years of team-based right-livelihood, I took up the wandering life. At present I am at Madhyamaloka helping to care for Bhante.
